Looks like the iPhone 4S is coming really soon (16th December 2011 hopefully). Maxis have already put up their iPhone 4S Register Your Interest page.
Hopefully we will see the other telcos release more details soon.

Windows Phone Voice Recognition Feature for SMS [Video]

Earlier this week, my colleague notified me about this feature available on the Windows Phone. As curious as usual, I have decided to try it out on my Samsung Omnia 7 which is already ‘Mango’ed and I was left pretty impressed. Below is a simple video of how this feature works:
Currently, the voice recognition feature is available only for SMS and searches. I really wish that this feature could be integrated into more applications, like Siri on the iPhone 4S.
iPhone 4S Malaysia Release on 16th December 2011

According to MalaysianWireless.com, the iPhone 4S will be released in Malaysia through all major telcos (Maxis, DiGi and Celcom) on the 16th of December. They have also have the unofficial price list for all variants of the phone:
- iPhone 4S 16GB- RM2190
- iPhone 4S 32GB- RM2590
- iPhone 4S 64GB- RM2890/RM2990
Time to start saving for that new Apple device before it lands next month!
Nokia Windows Phone Announced!

On Thursday, 26th of October 2011, Nokia have finally announced their long awaited Windows Phone device. Previously codenamed ‘Sea Ray’, the Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 710 is here to challenge the big boys like Apple and Samsung in the mobile market. Below are the specs and details of the 2 announced phones:
Some of the interesting tidbits added by Nokia into their Windows Phones includes a turn-by-turn map application called Nokia Drive, an ESPN Hub and a music app which does music mixes.
Pricing and release date in Malaysia is still unknown.

iPhone 4S Announced! Malaysia Release Date December 2011!

The latest iPhone have been announced yesterday at Apple’s HQ at Cupertino.
Some of the interesting specs and features are:
- A 64GB Model for the very first time
- An improved 8 Megapixel camera
- New A5 processor which runs up to 7x faster than the previous gen iPhone
- Voice recognition from Seri
The iPhone 4S will also come loaded with the latest iOS 5 which has features such as notifications and iMessage which is a service similar to Blackberry’s famous BBM service.
The iPhone 4S will be released in the United States, Canada, Australia, UK, France, Germany and Japan on the 14th of October 2011. Expect it to arrive in Malaysia in December 2011.

HTC Announces HTC Radar & HTC Titan

New WP7 Mango phones from HTC, named Radar and Titan have been announced! Expect it to reach the US by the late September 2011 and Malaysia…? Maybe somewhere around October 2011? Anyway, the specs for these phones are pretty impressive.
The awesome Titan, wields a 4.7-inch SLCD display, a 8MP back camera and 1.3MP front-facing snapper. It also boasts a 1.5Ghz processor, 512MB of RAM and 16GB of flash storage. HTC Radar, which is the lower-end release has a 3.8 inch LED screen and 1Ghz of processing power. Coming together with the Radar is also 8GB of storage space and a 5MP back camera.
Anyway, I do hope that HTC will improve their camera performance and quality this time around because their previously released WP7 devices such as HD7 and Mozart was so bad in the camera department that I ended up getting Samsung’s Omnia 7 instead.
